Molten darkness

There's light in the darkness,
Darkness in light.
Back and forth changing,
Ever evading.
Repeating red patterns,
And whispering whistles,
A sudden appearance:
A stark, cold impact.
Darkness in light.
It all fades to black.
A soft murmur wakes it,
A glimpse of remoteness.
Slight shadows emerging
And starting a whirl.
The light growing brighter
A candle now glowing,
Then bursting to fire
And spreading apart.
There's light in the darkness,
Consuming with heat.
Repeating red patterns,
And whispering whistles,
Ascending sparks flying
Through descending dusk.
There's light in the darkness,
Darkness in light.
Back and forth changing,
Ever evading.
